  IT and AV rentals for today’s Olympic demand

  Like the rest of Britain, at Hire Intelligence we’re excited that the 2012 Olympics is going to be held in London, right on our doorstep. And it got us thinking, how different will London 2012 be to the Sydney Olympics 12 years ago, or those in Beijing just four years ago? In terms of new technology and demand for IT and AV hire, we believe this Olympics will be like no other!
  
  If you look back to 2000 there were no tablets or smartphones… yes there was once a time without Blackberrys and IPhones! Back then popular IT rentals included the state-of-the-art laptop, Sony VAIO PCG-SRX99, which offered an 850MHz Pentium III-M, 256MB of RAM, 802.11b for wireless networking (if you could find a wireless network, that is) and 20GB of storage.
  
  
  Today, tablets  are just as popular as the laptops of 2000. The Apple iPad 2, has an 850MHZ processor and 512MB of faster RAM  than the Sony VAIO PCG-SRX99.
