Film production is an art where the equipment is an extension of your body. It has to feel natural in your hand to allow you to get great quality when you are in production mode.

Unfortunately, many equipment retailers only offer short-term return or exchange deals on electronics and it may take a bit longer to really figure out all the features of a piece of equipment and realize if the equipment “feels” right.

It may be an interesting option to rent out a particular piece of film production equipment and use it for a mid-term length. You can use the equipment until you really know whether it is what you have been looking for and if the features available are sufficient for the type of work you need to undertake.
